Donald Trump

Donald Trump is the President-elect of the United States! Yeah. You read right. That's no more news anyways.

Unprecedented! Shocking! Unbelievable! Impossible! Unexpected! Disappointing! Funny! Bring them on. Just keep them coming. The adjectives can keep going on and on as everyone has got one or two things to say about the election.

The just concluded US election has proven many established movements, constituted authorities and personalities wrong. From the Media, to politically sane/correct ideologies, tested/proven ideas and philosophies, even History.

History has it that no Republican has won Michigan, Wisconsin and New Hampshire since 1988! Trump is a Republican and he got these States. History was made, re-written and redefined.

One thing the so called politically sane and the established authorities plus philosophers didn't have was the understanding of times and seasons before making their predictions and analysis of the election. We are moving from the era of POLITICAL correctness to the era of issue-based philosophies. Trump recognised this and rode on it. Trump, before the election expressed the mind of the Americans (white Americans majorly) who believed their ISSUE was principally immigration based and that other issues are tied around it, from Terrorism to Unemployment, among others. I said before the election that if Trump could hammer very well and maintain his stand on his redefined foreign policies, he was going to win and he did. I am neither pro Trump nor anti-Clinton. I just read the handwritings on the wall. Trump in his campaign represented everything an average white American wanted, a change from the status quo that seemed to have failed them especially in the area of foreign policies. He expressed and promised to give them what seemed to be on top of their list, SECURITY. It is left to you to interprete that as you want. SECURITY to them was priority and Immigrants, seem to be number one threat to their security; personal security, job security, lives and properties among other security issues. They went to the polls and effected that change! So the world community cannot but congratulate Donald Trump and his team, and also watch on as he actualize his proposed ideas and policies as the President.

For the Church. Well, going by the Republican policies and ideologies it may not be too early to start sending our congratulatory messages to the Church in America as Republican policies seem to be 'better' in practice than the Democrat's. However, the Church need remember that verse of the Holy Book that says 'the heart of man is desperately wicked who can know it?' God knows it. He knows everything including the future. And with our prayers we influence the future. So the Church should remain on her knees even as Donald Trump becomes the 45th President of the almighty United States of America.

Whatever your opinion or stand on this subject, there is this take home I strongly recommend and would like you to embrace, BE YOURSELF and DARE TO BE DIFFERENT.
From the result of the election, these points cannot be overemphasised. You dont have to move with the crowd. Trump has taught us to dare to be different in anything we choose to do. Sincerely few people or nobody saw Donald Trump emerging as the President-elect of the United States. But reality is, he is the president-elect to be 45th president, irrespective of what anybody thought or thinks.

In as much as many may not support or approve his approach and/or manners, his unrepentant persistence paid off. He maintained his stand. He came out and showed himself to the world as against some things the world expected him to embrace or accommodate. But he said, No, here I stand. Take me or leave me.

So my dear, you want to make a difference, 're-write history, DARE TO BE DIFFERENT, I urge you!
