The eighth legislative Assembly of the Lagos State House of Assembly was on Monday, June 8, 2015 sworn in elected legislators (2015 - 2019 election year).
These Legislators were saddled with the responsibilities of making laws to protect the lives and properties of the people of Lagos State.
Today, June 8, 2018 marks its third year anniversary. Yeah. The State Assemblies and National Assemblies(upper and lower houses). It's three years already! Oh yeah!.
In this light, myrepblog's lens sited and a chat with some of the members as they share the experience and journey of three years in the business of legislation.
...And First on the list is
HONOURABLE ADEDAMOLA R. KASUNMU
Portfolio: Chairman, House Committee on Youth, Sports and Social Development
Constituency: Ikeja Constituency II
Popularly known as ARK, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu came into the business of State Legislation as a first timer in 2015 to represent the people of Ikeja Constituency II.
The grandson of the late Iyaloja General, Late Madam Abibatu Mogaji has described the past three years of the eighth Assembly as impactful and eventful.
The first term Legislator explained further that the 8th Legislative Assembly has lived up to the expectation of Lagosians in the business of law making and delivery to Lagos and it's residents.
"The eighth legislative Assembly has lived up to expectation in the past three years. If you ask me, we have not disappointed Lagosians in the area of law making and legislation in general as is in our capacity as Legislators.
During this Assembly, we have made laws to protect not just lives and properties of Lagosians but also their interests across various fields and spheres of life.
Infact Some of these laws as sponsored by me and other distinguished colleagues are ; The Lagos State Trust Fund bill establishing the State trust fund, The Bill to establish the Registration of Domestic Staff Service providers in Lagos State sponsored by Hon. Adefunmilayo Tejuosho among others. All these bills and Acts are for the benefits of Lagosians. So in my own opinion, these three years have been impactful and eventful. "
So our Legislators are working, Lagos is Working. It's not only Ambode that is working! Lol
